Playoffs begin this weekend

After a three month long regular season the Midwest Basketball League Playoffs are here! 14 teams in two conferences will go head-to-head for the right to play for the MBL Championship.

In the Western Conference top seeded Cedar Valley CourtKings (15-1) will have a bye into the semifinals. They await the winner of Bay Area Titans (8-8) vs TC Elite (8-8) who play Saturday evening in Green Bay. In the other side of the West bracket the second seeded Eagan Bulldogs (12-4) host Minnesota Broncos (7-9) while Iowa Elite Pro (11-5) take on Minnesota Lakers (8-8) in Des Moines.

Fort Wayne Vision (12-2) earned the top seed in the East and a bye. They will take on the winner of the quarterfinal between Springfield Panthers (6-5) and Fort Wayne Ballers (7-6).

It will be a Windy City triple-header on Saturday beginning at 4:00 PM when the third seed Chicago Fury (9-3) take on Indiana Dream (5-7) followed by the Chicago Knights (11-2) facing their city rival Chicago Legends (5-9) at Crane Medical Prep High School. Before the two MBL Playoff games the Chicago Lady Rage taking on Toledo Threat in WBDA action. Tip off scheduled for 2 PM.
